Humanly Natural – Alex Shaw

These small Plasticine sculptures are a physical embodiment of nature or (a natural spirit) I invented from my imagination, I wanted to express within the work that we are in a strange type of conflict or war with nature as a whole, as we destroy their environment to create our own concrete equivalent, nature will always with time tare it all back down again and reclaim what belongs to them.

I wanted to give the sculptures a human form as I intended for them to almost be a reflection on humanity I feel in a lot of ways our world and theirs is not all so different, the only real difference is time, how far from the natural world are we really?
