Alex Shaw
Alex Shaw is a London based artist who explores the social and political within the urban environment, his work often questions modern humanity, what it stands for and the often strange and alien world which we have created for ourselves within the city environment.
He is known for often using provocative methods within his practise in an attempt to engage his audience weather it been within a gallery or in an open environment. His work includes painting, sculpture, pinhole photography and on occasion performance based work.
Aukse Jonauskyte
Aukse is currently undertaking studies in Fine Art at Central Saint Martins. Her work mostly revolves around addressing many different social and political issues by merging seemingly incompatible worlds together in a direct response to the surrounding environment. She works in a variety of media including conceptual and installation art as well as photography, but feels that this is only the beginning of her journey towards exploring the voice of her artwork.
Leon Blanchard
Leon is a young painter, from London looking to expand his practice by gathering information in and around the streets of the city he lives in. By taking interest in large forms and structures natural and man made, he compiles his paintings from them and gives them a new life, breathing into them bright lucid colours, which recreates the city through the eyes of the artist.
Ptolemy Moloney
Ptolemy Moloney aims to create something within his artwork that challenges and interests him. Moloney believes that this makes the art more genuine for him and therefore more relatable and engaging for the viewer. He is always looking for new and exciting methods of creating work, seeing the process as important as the final outcome. ‘I enjoy working with like minded artists and also those who think completely differently, I’m always open to new ideas and challenges’.
