Ink – Alex Shaw

Drawing with ink has always been a useful method for me to be able to convey the main factors in something that I want to capture very quickly. Many of my ink drawings are studies made whilst travelling around and sometimes completely from imagination or memory, the figures and forms that are created have influenced many of my recent paintings, i have taken particular interest in the human forms as I feel they give across a bleak and distant expression which is a focal point in much of my current work.
